Problem
The fashion industry generates millions of tonnes of textile waste every year, with a significant amount ending up in landfill despite being donated or recycled. When the opportunity to work on a project focused on creating impact arose, I identified clothing and fabric waste as an area where meaningful change could be made.
After presenting the concept to the Creative Director at Schbang UK, we saw an opportunity to develop it further into a proposal with greater community impact.

Solution
We evolved the concept into a city-wide initiative that invited Londoners to donate unwanted clothing, which would then be transformed into a limited-edition furniture collection. By partnering with high-street brands and ReLondon, the proposal created a circular system that gave discarded textiles a second life while encouraging public participation in reducing waste.
The campaign was structured in three phases. The first focused on awareness, highlighting the scale of textile waste and encouraging audiences to reflect on their own consumption habits. The second phase teased the upcoming collection through illustrated furniture silhouettes and messaging centred around the idea of creating something for everyone, from everyone. The final phase revealed the finished pieces, showcasing how donated garments could be transformed into functional furniture.
